Whether you conduct fraud investigations, perform fraud risk assessments, or work on fraud prevention measures, our modern fraud examination landscape is filled with teamwork. You want to maximize the efficiency of your team’s work without losing quality, all the while demonstrating your ability to lead complex projects. Leadership is much more than managing scope changes, adjusting risk assessments, and developing people. When you manage a complex project with multiple moving parts, how are you able to maintain your focus on what is most important? Professionals must always be ready to address the unexpected. How do you stay ahead of the curve? How do you as a leader create a culture where team members are inspired to do their best work?
People often find it difficult to list the traits that make a strong leader. They usually say, “I know it when I see it”. The individual and group exercises, during this daylong interactive workshop, explore traditionally intangible leadership traits and help you to develop actionable practices that will help you guide teams toward success.
Course participants will take the EQ-i 2.0 assessment. Students will learn how to interpret the assessment report and leverage their newly found perspective to become a more effective group member and team leader.
By the end of this one-day seminar workshop, participants will be able to:
- Identify the four leadership “super power” behaviors
- Describe the difference between Mindless and Mindful leadership behaviors
- Illustrate the value and importance Emotional Intelligence brings to today’s dynamic workplace
- Explain how leaders can exploit vulnerabilities to benefit a situation
- Use the information in your emotional reaction to manage a constructive outcome
- Plan communication strategies to improve group performance
- Motivate colleagues and staff to develop successful team initiatives by fostering critical thinking and adaptive practices
