Poorly Governed Financial Systems and Fraud: It All Starts With Access Presenter: Jeffrey Tilton (YouAttest) and Garret Grajek (YouAttest)

Access/identity control is a fundamental component of data security that dictates who’s allowed to access and use company information and resources. But organizations still lack the necessary protections, opening the door for fraudsters to exploit their systems. In this session, Jeffrey Tilton and Garret Grajek will share the latest IT resources to keep such criminals at bay.

Soft Fraud's Hard-dollar Impact in Workers' Compensation

Presenter: Tim King (Teradata)

Fraud is often thought of as an explicit crossing of a moral and / or legal boundary.  We will introduce a more subtle form – “soft fraud” – using workers compensation medical claims as an example.  For this particular use case, learn how we transformed raw transactional data into meaningful insights to identify potential bad actors among providers.  We will also discuss more broadly approaches and techniques to apply well beyond the world of workers compensation, be it other forms of medical claims or wholly outside the scope of healthcare.
