HomeProcurement and Grant Fraud

Procurement and Grand Fraud

Every year, Federal, State and Local Governments award billions of dollars in grants and contracts.  Not all fraud involves the theft of assets, rather the misuse and misappropriation of assets.  The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) alone has added billions more to these totals. Also complicating the matter is the complex nature of this type of fraud.

This session will focus on the ways in which grants and contracts are misapplied or misused, types of asset mismanagement and what can be done to identify and prevent these types of fraud.   Included will be case studies of grant fraud including those at institutions of higher education.
