Utilizing Technology to Ensure Procurement Integrity

Presenter: Tom Caulfield (Procurement Integrity Consulting Services)

A procurement system that lacks integrity is the ideal breeding ground for waste of vital resources, misconduct and even worse, fraud. Regular procurement integrity data analytics can provide indications of breaches that organizations can use to determine whether they need to conduct in-depth reviews.  Data analytics is not the end-all solution, but when combined with trained employees — in a setting committed to procurement integrity — its potential is limitless.

Learning Objectives:

  • Global views on how to best build analytics into contract compliance, prevention, or detection approaches.
  • Obtain practical examples of analytical searches currently being used with contracting data.
  • Gain first-hand knowledge on how data analytics visualization is being displayed with contracting data.

Build It Right, and They Will Come

Presenter: Vincent Walden (konaAI) and Ken Feinstein (J.S. Held)

According to the World Economic Forum, corruption is an expensive problem that costs the global economy over $3 trillion annually. International corruption can take many forms, including bribery, embezzlement, cronyism, and fraud. Detecting it is challenging, but possible using advanced analytics and machine learning technologies on top of legal and subject matter expertise.

Companies work hard to detect and prevent fraud and corruption. Still, it can be challenging for those corporations to identify behaviors that cross the line, particularly where employees intend to commit a crime, and then take steps to conceal their behavior. innovation and change are just as prevalent in the professional services industry, where consultants must stay up to speed to best advise their clients. Learn how professional services firms can stay competitive and relevant through technology innovation.
